This Kurdish tribal rug was woven in NW Persia circa 1910. The field is packed with botehs and birds, all with a wonderful array of color. At the top is a cartouche with date and signature (mostly illegible) with two people atop - primitively depicted but people nonetheless! Good pile throughout with edges and ends stabilized. There are a few minor non-professional repairs
