Canvasback Hen Decoy by R. Madison Mitchell (1901-1993), Havre de Grace, MD.  It is signed and dated on the bottom, 1945.  It has painted eyes and some paint enhancement.  It is solid wood and structurally sound.  Mitchell was a funeral director who carved decoys during free time over a 60 year career.  He helped found the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum and is well represented there.  16” L X 6 ¼” W X 7” H.
