Poster from Fatah (the Palestine National Liberation Movement) of a Palestinian militant with a gun, by Kamal Boullata, circa 1985. The poster features an illustration of a man with a head scarf holding a machine gun, with a raised arm and the barrel of the gun in front to the left. The text, printed in black and red on a gray background, reads: People of the Third World Salute FATAH Palestine Liberation Movement. The Palentine Poster Project Archives website includes this poster, identifies the artist as Kamal Boullata, and dates it to 1985. The LOC has a copy, but I couldn’t find any for sale. I think it might be a fairly rare propaganda poster. The poster measures just over 13 ¼” by 19 ¾” and is in only good condition. It probably hung in the dorm room of some college kid in the 1970s and shows the expected wear and soiling. There’s loss at the corners, with pieces missing from both top corners. There is a bit of tape residue and some minor stains too. An important piece of Palestinian history!
