Tirzah Porter’s Miniature Sampler 1834

A horizontal format miniature sampler, dated 1834, by Tirzah Porter. Ths ampler has an all caps alphabet and a second with all small letters. Tirzah included the date below her name and there are some symbols or letters to the left of the date. There are also some “ghost letters” in the lower section of the piece, below Tirzah’s name, that make me think the piece of linen was re-used for her sampler. It measures9 1/8” (sight) x 4 ¼” and is nicely framed in a wooden frame10” x 5”. American or English in origin, but I can’t say which.
