Item Details

Original book plate from the crew’s library of the U.S.S. Pueblo. Measures 3.25 x 4.5 inches. Residue on back and slight tear suggest it has been removed from the book it belonged in or a scrapbook. The Pueblo (AGER-2) – which gathered intelligence and oceanographic information, monitoring electronic and radio signals from North Korea – was attacked and captured by a North Korean vessel Jan. 23, 1968. She is still held by North Korea, and serves as a museum. She remains a commissioned vessel of the United States Navy.
