Landscape oil on canvas signed lower left by William Merritt Post (1856-1935). This stream is possibly the Bantam River in Bantam, CT. A very accomplished artist, Post is well documented. The canvas is in very good condition and the frame has a minor loss lower right. Sight: 15 ½” X 23 ¼”. Overall: 22 ¼” X 29 ¾”.
