A beautiful impressionist scene of the Menemsha Bight (inlet), in Martha's Vineyard, MA

Korites was born and raised in Boston and spent his early summers sailing and fishing on Cape Cod.

He studied art in Boston at Tufts University and at Yale University, New Haven, CT. Korites' inspiration for painting

comes from the New England area, primarily along the coast as well as the interiors of Maine and

Vermont. His artistic influences include Vermeer for his clean and beautiful look as well as Cezanne

and Seurat for their vibrant colors and luminist techniques.

He is a member of the Guild Of Boston Artist in addition to the North River Art Assoc., MA
