This beautiful mahogany tea table with magnificent carving and an old mellow surface is a very careful copy of one of the finest American tea tables in the Metropolitan Museum. That table was acquired by the museum in 1925 and is the only such table given a full page color illustration in the Met’s Queen Anne and Chippendale furniture book. Without the tiny stamp “England” on the original brass latch for the top it might be difficult to know that this is not an 18th century table. We believe this table was made around 1900.

Shipping and Returns
We are happy to discuss preferences for shipping with every customer. Generally we will carefully pack small items ourselves and send them by USPS with the buyer paying the postage. For somewhat larger items we often go the UPS. For furniture we have worked with a number of different delivery companies. Being only ten minutes from I-95 and available for pickups 24-7 that is easy. No sale is considered final until we know the buyer is happy.Additional Information
We maintained a traditional antiques shop in the heart of historic Fredericksburg, Virginia for 42 years. Now we have moved to the cloud [really only a mile away and closer to the highway] and are continuing our business online, over the phone, and by appointment. If we were ever to specialize we would only handle things that might have seemed familiar to Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe. But, we really enjoy a wide variety of quality objects.
